Today we are joined by ex darts player Chris Mason.
Thanks for joining me Chris, hope you enjoy the interview!
Q1. What made you come to a decision to call it a day? I'm sure it was difficult?
I was still around the 35 in the rankings but had been on the slide for a couple of years and dealing with my mental health issues wouldn't have been possible while playing full-time.
Q2. Have you any young dart players to look out for in the future?
I think the current crop of young players climbing the rankings are very exciting prospects.
Q3. Do you think one day you will come back to the circuit?
No I do enjoy playing the odd local comp and absolutely love doing all the exhibitions. I am always tempted to try the challenge tour though.
Q4. What advice would you give to young dart players who want to make it professional one day?
Always enjoy the game and if you want to turn professional make sure you are always 100% committed to your target/goal.
Q5. In your opinion, what was the highlight of your career?
Winning ranking events.
Q6. Do you still practice darts in your spare time?
Yes I always try to get a few hours in before exhibitions.
Thanks for joining me Chris, hope you enjoyed the interview!
