Today I am joined by PDC Player Kyle Anderson!
Thanks for joining my Kyle, hope you enjoy the interview!
Q1. What was it like on your debut at the World Cup? How did you feel?
To be honest, I was a nervous wreck. It's a different kind of pressure than any other match, your not playing for yourself but everybody in your country. Think about it for a bit all your peers whom you played with through youth and seniors are now urging you to do it well. As I said that IS a different kind of pressure. I enjoyed it, I believe myself and Simon gelled pretty well and you perform when that environment is around.
Q2. Who do you travel the most with in darts?
Of course with the team we travel a fair bit together, but majority time it's with me manager Mac. One loves being a passenger in the car when he drives 😊
Q3. You moved to England away from your family, I'm sure it was difficult?
It's very difficult, think of most players are away from there children four or five days at most, I'm away for four or five months at a time so it is the only downfall of this sport being my job.
Q4. How are you feeling going into the Matchplay? First match on aswell!
I'm feeling quietly relaxed and confident in my own ability, I can't think how anyone else is playing at the moment as I have no control over what they do, I've just gotta do what I do best and that's play my game and score well. First match is different as I've never been the curtain raiser as of such, so am looking forward to opening the games as to say.
Q5. You hit a 9 darter a few years ago at the Worlds, I bet you were so proud of yourself?
Oh the nine dart leg. Well that's a highlight for sure, we all strive to hit it in any game, just fortunate that mine came out on the biggest darts stage. I was very elated with it, my brother was in the crowd and it's a moment I won't forget with it happening in his presence.
Q6. What's it like being part of Kim Huybrechts, Ronny Huybrechts, Jelle Klaasen and Mesnur Suljovic as the same management?
Kim, Ronny, Jelle, Mensur, Dimitri and also Mike are a great bunch, we all look out for each other. I don't look at as mates, I look at them as my family due to being away majority of year, they are great and good value love them to bits. Mac looks out for us all and makes it for a good team aswell.
Thanks for joining me Kyle and good luck at the Matchplay!
Thank you for the opportunity to be interviewed!
